| Bolton's buses and trams were always well turned out in the municipal livery. Bus operation began early, trams finished in 1947, but the undertaking made its mark in the Bennett era with innovative and trend setting designs and liveries. Well researched and illustrated by Harry Postlethwaite the book fills a long felt need and adds significantly to north west transport history. Starting with the horse trams the story works its way through the electric tramcars, the trolleybuses - all four of them - and then gives detailed and fully illustrated coverage of the buses from 1904 to 1969. Also includes tickets, maps and preserved vehicles. Contents:
