We visit Genève: our arrival point -the international airport, Gare Cornavin and the wonderful lakeside. A waterbus takes us on a harbour tour then a cable car run up Mt. Salève, At Lausanne we see: the cathedral and old town, then the lakeside At the tourist information office we learn how a new metro will make travel in the city easy. We take a paddle steamer to Montreux for a visit to the iconic Chillon Castle. Along the way we view trains and boats and pay special attention to Cully where the vineyards almost touch the water. On Lac de Neuchâtel we visit another castle - Grandson - and again watch trains and boats along the idyllic lakeside. We take a boat through Zihlkanal and onto the Bieler See for the best views between Neuchâtel and Biel where we take a funicular to view the city.
