| | In the second volume of Great Central, we look at Staveley G C engine shed and ride on an 04 Class loco. We watch another 04 shunt the exchange sidings at Heath and continue the journey southwards begun at Sheffield Victoria in Volume 1 . After looking at trains at Wilford Brickyard we join 4472 Flying Scotsman at Nottingham Victoria on l5th June 1963 and travel down the London Extension to Marylebone, pausing to look at passing traffic at Ruddington, Leicester, Rugby and Woodford Halse. After looking around Marylebone we commence our journey home behind Flying Scotsman. On that particular day my cinefilm stock ran out at Rickmansworth, so a Stanier Class 5 Loco on a Semi-Fast completes the journey back to Nottingham Victoria. Here we look at some of the workings on the last day. Great Central Volume 3 will show a trip from Waterloo to Nottingham, Last day passenger services, demolition of Victoria Station, a D M U journey from Arkwright Street to Rugby and begin a journey from Grimsby to Sheffield Victoria via Retford.
