| With headquarters at Howe Bridge, Atherton, The overhead wires of the South Lancashire Transport Co. trolleybus system traversed a large area of industrial South Lancashire connecting the towns of Bolton, Farnworth, Swinton, Leigh, and St. Helen's with the systems hub at Atherton. Operation commenced in 1930 and for the next 28 years the SLT faithfully served the regions trolleybuses becoming a quintessential part of the scene rather than merely servants to it. Long since gone but fondly remembered, the reader is invited to experience once more “A Trolleybus to the Punch Bowl”. Contents:
