For the past hundred and twenty seven years, trains conveying crushed limestone have been running from the Tunstead quarry complex in the Peak District of Derbyshire to the Soda Ash Plants at Norwich on the Cheshire salt plains. During a life span of sixty two years these trains used a distinctive type of bogie hopper wagon that is instantly recognizable to both enthusiasts and the general public alike. Now that the wagons have been withdrawn it is hoped that this book will chart the life of these unique wagons, as well as the wagons the preceded them and few of the other wagons that were used by I.C.I over the years.
