| This pictorial work on the Birmingham – Bristol route is being published in two parts: Part One (this volume), covers Birmingham to Cheltenham, including the line through Worcester; Part Two will look at Cheltenham to Bristol and Bath via Gloucester. The whole is expected to comprise around 300 photographs, mainly from the steam era, which will give a comprehensive record of this fascinating, vitally important and very busy part of the British railway system.
