| | The story of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway goods wagons begins with the first orders of the Manchester and Leeds Railway in 1839, and continues to the present day, where a few preserved examples have somehow survived the sixty-odd years since the demise of the company. This is a history of about 67,500 vehicles built, bought, or acquired over an 83 year period, with subsequent alterations by their later owners.
