Leeds Central and City stations, the depots of Copley Hill and Holbeck, together with the route to Doncaster via Ardsley and Wakefield are featured. Travelling from Leeds, scenes at Bradford (Exchange and Forster Square), Huddersfield - from Heaton Lodge Jct to the Standedge Tunnels - together with the once important Mirfield M.P.D. are shown in detail. With additional film of Batley, Brighouse, Cleckheaton, Halifax, Shipley and pre-war locos at Sowerby Bridge, this video displays a wide variety of steam power and illustrates the scale of rail operations that existed in the West Riding.
