CineRail and Marsden Rail have been producing railway video and DVD programmes since 1994 and have established a reputation for high quality and consistency. Most archive material on the DVDs has been transferred from the original film by BBC technicians in order to achieve the highest standards of image quality. This computer-controlled process, which grades every individual frame of film, employs some of the most advanced technology available for telecine transfer in order to achieve the best possible results.
 Between 1959 and 1968, railway enthusiast and cine-cameraman, Michael Marsden, recorded views and sounds of the rapidly changing face of Britain’s rail network. For over twenty-five years after steam ended, he captivated audiences throughout the country with his unique film collection that captured steams' last decade and the full emergence of the diesel locomotive.
